Batteries
Batteries are the prime supplier of energy for the electric motor in electric vehicles. Whether in a small city runabout, in local emission-free doorstep delivery traffic or in a large luxury-class vehicle for long-distance travel: In all weather and under many climatic conditions, batteries in electric vehicles must have sufficient power and thus provide reliable vehicle range.
In order to achieve these goals, the design of a battery pack is primarily concerned with keeping the weight low and the battery close to the optimum operating temperature by means of intelligent thermal management, and all this with high demands on safety during charging and operation.
48-V battery pack

This is an ultra-compact battery pack with integrated liquid cooling. The layout is freely configurable with different cells. Optionally, the battery pack is available as a cost-optimized version without active cooling, yet with outstanding performance in terms of charging power and range.
Benefits
Robust and safety optimized |
Homogeneous temperature distribution despite passive cooling |
Cost-optimized design |
High-voltage battery pack

This is an extremely flat battery pack with integrated cooling circuit in the battery case and hence very compact and light weight. In addition, it is ensured that no liquid can enter the battery and no heat exchanger is required.
Benefits
Flexibility: modular design for optimum customizing |
Safety: safety-relevant voltage of a module below 60V is guaranteed |
Performance: high specific energy, with optimized ratio between installation space, weight and capacity |
